When you remove the sunroof actuator from the vehicle, visually check for track synchronization before you reinstall the sunroof actuator.

1. Remove the sunroof glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the sunroof actuator motor. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
4. Remove the sunroof drain hoses from the nozzles.

The drain hoses pull off the end of the nozzles.




5. Remove the bolts (1, 2, 3) from the sunroof actuator.
6. Remove the sunroof actuator from the vehicle through the right rear door opening, with an assistant.
7. Remove the wind deflector. Refer to Sunroof Air Deflector Replacement .
8. Remove the sunshade panel and the slide. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
9. Remove the water gutter. Refer to Water Gutter Replacement .



10. Remove the sunroof actuator cable stop screw.
11. Remove the sunroof actuator cable stop from the sunroof actuator.
12. Remove the slide and/or the guide from the sunroof actuator. Refer to Sunroof Sliding Block Guide Replacement .

1. Install the slide and/or the guide to the sunroof actuator. Refer to Sunroof Sliding Block Guide Replacement .
2. Install the sunroof actuator cable stop to the sunroof actuator.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the sunroof actuator cable stop screw.

Tighten
Tighten the sunroof actuator cable stop screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

4. Install the water gutter. Refer to Water Gutter Replacement .
5. Install the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
6. Install the wind deflector. Refer to Sunroof Air Deflector Replacement .



7. Position the sunroof actuator to the roof with an assistant.
8. Align the pins on the sunroof actuator with the holes in the roof.



9. Install the sunroof actuator bolts (1, 2, 3) to the sunroof actuator.

Tighten
Tighten the sunroof actuator bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).




10. Connect the sunroof drain hoses to the sunroof actuator.
11. Install the actuator motor. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
12. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
13. Install the sunroof glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
14. Inspect the height and the centering of the sunroof glass panel in the sunroof opening. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment .
