The actuator motor, the gear and the potentiometer control module are serviced as a unit.

1. Remove the sunroof actuator cover. Refer to Sunroof Actuator Cover Replacement .
2. Remove the sunroof actuator motor screws from the sunroof actuator.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the sunroof actuator motor.
4. Rotate the sunroof actuator motor slightly to disengage the motor from the cables.
5. Remove the sunroof actuator motor from the sunroof.

Important: Manually push the sunroof glass panel rearwards on both sides to check that the sunroof glass panel is at the maximum close position. This procedure sets both the slide and/or the guide, and the cables.

1. Install the sunroof actuator motor to the sunroof.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the sunroof actuator motor screws to the sunroof actuator.

Tighten
Tighten the sunroof actuator motor screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the sunroof actuator motor.
4. Install the sunroof actuator cover. Refer to Sunroof Actuator Cover Replacement .
5. Reprogram the sunroof. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .
6. Verify the proper operation. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation .
