1. Open the left front side door and lower the window.
2. Remove the key from the ignition switch and close the door.
3. Using the RKE transmitter, (Key FOB) lock all of the doors.
4. Observe the security indicator lamp. The following events should happen:

•	After locking all of the doors, the lamp should light for approximately 30 seconds.

•	After 30 seconds, the light should go out.

Does the security indicator lamp light?

Go to Step 3

1. If the security indicator lamp is inoperative, refer to SECURITY Indicator Inoperative .
2. If the security indicator lamp is ON at all times, refer to SECURITY Indicator Always On or Flashing .

1. Unlock the left front side door lock switch.
2. Open the left front side door.

Do the low beams, exterior lamps, and horn activate once per second?

System OK

Using the Key FOB, unlock the doors.

Did the system disarm?

Go to Step 6

Go to Keyless Entry System Inoperative

1. Open the left front side door.
2. Lock the doors using the side door lock switch, and close the door.
3. Wait 30 seconds.
4. Unlock the door using the side door lock switch, and open the door.
5. Repeat step 1 through step 4 using the right front side door.

Do the low beams, exterior lamps, and horn activate once per second?

Refer to Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) Alarm Mode Inoperative .

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Open the left front side door.
2. Insert the key in the ignition switch, and turn the key to the lock position.
3. Close the door.
4. Using the Key FOB, lock all of the doors.
5. Wait 30 seconds.
6. Reach through the open window and move the ignition switch out of the lock position.

Do the low beams, exterior lamps, and horn activate once per second?

1. Remove the key from the ignition switch and insert the key into the outside left door lock switch.
2. Turn the key to the unlock position.

Did the system disarm?

--

Go to Step 11

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

1. Open the left front side door.
2. Insert the key in the ignition switch and turn the key to the LOCK position.
3. Close the door.
4. Using the key FOB, lock all of the doors.
5. Wait 30 seconds.
6. Remove Fuse V1 from the power distribution fuse box. Wait 5 seconds, then reconnect the fuse.

Do the low beams, exterior lamps, and horn activate once per second?

Go to Step 4

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Depress the rear compartment courtesy lamp switch.
3. Using the key FOB, lock all of the doors.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. Release the switch.
