Important: The following steps must be completed before
using the symptom tables.
- Review the appropriate system description and operation from the following
list in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions:
- If you are diagnosing a seat system with memory (A45) perform
Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
in Vehicle DTC Information, before using the symptom
tables in order to verify that all of the following are true.
• | The control module(s) can communicate via the serial data link. |
Visual/Physical Inspection
• | Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious
damage or conditions which could cause the symptom. |
• | Inspect the seat adjuster track for conditions which may cause binding
or objects within the seat adjustment range which may obstruct movement or interfere
with wiring. |
Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions.
