Important: The thermistor resistance varies according to the temperature. Therefore, if you measure the resistance while the seat is still warm, the resistance may vary outside of the specified range.

With the seat at room temperature, measure the resistance between the temperature sensor signal circuit and the low reference circuit of the heated seat cushion connector.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

850-1,150 ohms

Go to Step 14

Go to Step 22

13

  1. Disconnect the body control module (BCM) connector C2.
  2. Test the heated seat control module inhibit signal circuit between the BCM and the heated seat module for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
