Verify that the Heated Seat Always On complaint is present.

Does the Heated Seat System operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Inspect the front seat.

Is only the seat cushion warm?

Go to Step 6

Disconnect the heated seat switch harness connector.

Did the seat cool down?

Go to Step 9

  1. Disconnect the heated seat module connector C3.
  2. Test the seat back heating element circuit for a short to battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

  1. Disconnect the heated seat module connector C2.
  2. Test the seat cushion heating element circuit for a short to battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the heated seat module connector C1.
  2. Test the heated seat high/low signal circuit between the heated seat module and the heated seat switch for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the heated seat module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the heated seat switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
