Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the outer sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  4. Remove the door weather-strip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  5. Remove the door window weather-strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  6. Remove the window guide channel. Refer to Door Window Guide Replacement .
  7. Remove the door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
  8. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  9. Remove the door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  10. Remove the door window regulator and motor. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  11. Remove the rear door speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  12. Remove the rear door body side molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  13. Remove the rear lower door side molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Lower Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  15. Remove the door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  16. Release the door wiring harness grommet and unroute the wiring harness (2) from the door (4), if equipped.
  17. Remove all the retainers from the rear door (4).
  18. Mark the door hinge location.
  19. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  20. • The 4 door to hinge bolts (1, 3)
    • The rear door (4)

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear door (4) to the vehicle. Align the matchmarks on the hinges in order to aid in the correct adjustment of the door. Secure the door to the hinges with the 4 bolts (1, 3).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the door to hinge bolts to 26 N·m (19 lb ft).

  3. Install all the plastic retainers to the door (4).
  4. Route the door wiring harness (2) and seat the grommet into position in the door.
  5. Install the door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  6. Install the rear door body side molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  7. Install the rear door side lower molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Lower Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  8. Install the door window regulator and motor. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  9. Install the rear door speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  10. Install the door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  11. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  12. Install the door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
  13. Install the window guide channel. Refer to Door Window Guide Replacement .
  14. Install the door window weather-strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  15. Install the door weather-strip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  16. Install the outer sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  17. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  18. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
