1. Turn off the IP dimmer switch.
2. Turn off the left and right roof rail courtesy/ready lamps.
3. Turn off the windshield header courtesy/reading lamps.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
5. Lower the driver's door window in order to prevent lockout.
6. While observing the courtesy lights, open and close all the vehicle doors, one door at a time.

1. Close all of the vehicle doors.
2. While observing the courtesy lights, turn the IP dimmer switch to the DOME position.
3. Turn off the IP dimmer switch.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Open a vehicle door for at least 5 seconds, then close the door.
3. Observe the courtesy lights.

1. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the OFF position.
2. Turn the IP dimmer switch to the DOME position for at least 10 minutes.

Important: On vehicles with less than 15 total accumulated miles, the interior lights turn off after 3 minutes instead of 10 minutes.

When any of the interior lights are left on for more than 10 minutes with the ignition switch in the OFF position, the interior lights turn off.

Courtesy Lamps Always On

1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN, then back to OFF.
2. Open a vehicle door for at least 5 seconds, then close all of the vehicle doors.
3. While observing the courtesy lights, turn the ignition switch to the RUN position within 25 seconds after the last door is closed.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
5. Open a vehicle door for at least 5 seconds, then close all of the vehicle doors.
6. While observing the courtesy lights, press any power door lock switch to the LOCK position within 25 seconds after the last door is closed.

1. Close all of the vehicle doors.
2. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN, then back to OFF.
3. While observing the courtesy lights, remove the key from the ignition switch.

1. If the vehicle is not equipped with content theft deterrent (RPO UA6), skip to step 8.
2. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
3. Lock and close all of the vehicle doors.
4. Insert the key in the driver's door key cylinder lock.

This test also works on the passenger's door key cylinder lock.

5. While observing the courtesy lights, turn the key in order to unlock the door. Hold the key in the unlock position for 1 second.

The courtesy lights turn on for 40 seconds upon unlocking the door with the key.

1. If the vehicle is not equipped with keyless entry system (RPO AU6), skip to step 9.
2. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
3. Close all of the vehicle doors.
4. While observing the courtesy lights, press UNLOCK on the keyless entry transmitter.
5. Wait 40 seconds.
6. While observing the courtesy lights, press UNLOCK on the keyless entry transmitter again.
7. Within 40 seconds after pressing UNLOCK, press LOCK on the keyless entry transmitter.

1. Close all of the vehicle doors.
2. Turn off the IP dimmer switch.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
4. Turn on, then turn off the switches for the windshield header courtesy/reading lamps.

Open, then close the left and right sunshade illuminated mirror covers while observing the mirror lamps.
