Exterior Lights System Check

Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.

Rear side marker, rear park, license, tail, front side marker and front marker lamps are all on.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Operate the LH or RH turn switch to either position.

The turn lamps flash continuously on and off.

Turn the hazard switch to ON.

The front and rear turn lamps flash continuously.

  1. Turn the hazard switch OFF.
  2. Press the brake pedal.
    •  The side marker, park, and license lamps are on.
    • Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) and tail lamps are on at maximum.
    •  Stop Lamps Inoperative
    •  Stop Lamps Inoperative

Release the brake pedal.

The center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) turns off and the tail lamps go to low intensity.

Stop Lamps Always On

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
  2. Shift the transaxle gear selector into PARK.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. Release the park brake.
    • Exterior daylight conditions: the front turn signal lamps are on (non-flashing)
    • Exterior low light conditions: The front turn signal lamps are off, the low beam headlamps are on and the park lamps are on.

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Inoperative, Headlamp Switch Operates Normally

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Apply the park brake.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

The daytime running lamps are off.

Cornering Lamps System Check

  2. Place the turn signal lever in the TURN LEFT position.

The LH cornering lamp is on.

Place the turn signal lever in the TURN RIGHT position.

The RH cornering lamp is on.

Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative

Place the turn signal lever to the OFF position.

The cornering lamps are off.
