  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Using a test lamp, backprobe between the hazard warning switch harness connector terminal C and ground.

Is the test lamp on?

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 539.

Using a test lamp, backprobe between the hazard warning switch harness connector terminal H to ground.

Does the test lamp flash?

Replace the hazard warning switch. Refer to Cruise Control and Hazard Warning Switch Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console for service procedure.

  3. Using a test lamp, backprobe the hazard warning switch harness connector between terminal C and terminal A.
