Check if any DTCs are stored in the LDCM as history.

Are any DTCs stored as history?

Using a scan tool, select LDCM and command the LH mirror UP and DOWN.

Does the LH mirror move UP and DOWN?

Using a scan tool, select LDCM and command the LH mirror LEFT and RIGHT.

Does the LH mirror move LEFT and RIGHT?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
  2. Disconnect the LH mirror connector C1.
  3. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  4. At the LH mirror connector C1 (harness side), connect a test light between terminals A and C.
  5. Using a scan tool, command the LH mirror UP and DOWN.

Does the test light turn ON and OFF with each command?

  1. At the LH mirror connector C1 (harness side), connect a test light between terminals F and H.
  2. Using a scan tool, command the LH mirror LEFT and RIGHT.

Does the test light turn ON and OFF with each command?

  1. Using a scan tool, select LDCM inputs and monitor the driver mirror select switch status.
  2. Press the LH mirror select switch.

Does the scan tool display ACTIVE when the LH mirror select switch is pressed?

  1. Using a scan tool, select LDCM inputs and monitor the mirror DOWN and UP switch status.
  2. Using the LH mirror switch, operate the LH mirror UP and DOWN.

Does the scan tool display ACTIVE when the mirror is operated both UP and DOWN?

  1. Using a scan tool, select LDCM inputs and monitor the mirror LEFT and RIGHT switch status.
  2. Using the LH mirror switch, operate the LH mirror LEFT and RIGHT.

Does the scan tool display ACTIVE when the mirror is operated both LEFT and RIGHT?

Check for an open or short to ground in CKT 88 or CKT 89.

Was a problem found and repaired?

Check for an open or short to ground in CKT 81 or CKT 82.

Check for an open in CKT 1514, CKT 1517 or CKT 150.

  1. Replace the LDCM. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  2. Program the replacement DCM (hardtop only). Refer to Door Control Module Programming/RPO Configuration .

Replace the LH door switch assembly. Refer to Power Mirror Switch Replacement .

  1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
  2. Reconnect or install any connectors or components that were disconnected or removed.
  3. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  4. Clear any DTCs. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Clearing .

Is the repair complete?
