The service DCM must be programmed by using a scan tool (hardtop only). The DCM stores information regarding the vehicle option content. If the DCM is not properly configured with the correct option content, the DCM will set default values for some systems which could cause system malfunctions. When a DCM is replaced on hardtop vehicles only, perform the following programming procedure:

DCM Programming (Hardtop Only)

Important:: Before proceeding with this programming procedure, check for proper communications between the DCM and the scan tool. If communications cannot be established, refer to the DCM Diagnostic System Check.

Maintain the battery voltage while the DCM is in the programming mode.

  1. Using a Tech 2, select LDCM if the LH DCM was replaced, or RDCM if the RH DCM was replaced.
  2. Select DCM Reprogram.
  3. Follow the instructions on the remaining screens.
