  1. Close the left front door.
  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  3. Buckle the driver's seat buckle.
    • The Fasten Seat Belts warning chime does not sound.
    • The FASTEN BELTS indicator does not turn on.
    • If the driver's seat belt is not buckled, the following actions occur:
       - The Fasten Seat Belts warning chime sounds for 4 to 8 seconds.
       - The FASTEN BELTS indicator illuminates for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds, the indicator flashes.
    •  Chime Inoperative
    • Fasten Seat Belts Warning Chime and FASTEN BELTS Indicator Inoperative
    • FASTEN BELTS Indicator Inoperative
    • FASTEN BELTS Indicator Always On
    • Fasten Seat Belts Warning Chime Inoperative or Always On

  1. Set the ignition switch in OFF and leave the key in the ignition.
  2. Open the left front door.
  3. Close the left front door.
  4. Remove the key from the ignition.
  5. Open the left front door.
    • The chime sounds with the key in the ignition while the left front door is open.
    • The chime is off with the key in the ignition while the left front door is closed.
    • The chime is off without the key in the ignition while the left front door is open.
    •  Chime Inoperative
    • Key-In-Ignition Chime Always On

  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. Open the left front door.
  3. Set the headlamp switch in HEAD or PARK.
  4. Set the headlamp switch in the OFF position.

Lamps On Warning Chime sounds with the headlamp switch in HEAD or PARK.
    •  Chime Inoperative
    • Lamps On Warning Chime Always On
