Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat memory module electrical connectors.
  4. Remove the seat adjuster bolts.

  5. Object Number: 246348  Size: SH
  6. Remove the seat adjuster with actuator motors attached.
  7. Disconnect the 3 driveshafts from the actuator motors and seat adjuster.
  8. Remove the seat belt buckle pretensioner if removing inner seat adjuster.
  9. Remove the seat adjuster actuator motor nus.
  10. Remove the seat adjuster actuator motors form seat adjuster.

Installation Procedure

  1. Adjust seat adjuster phase. Refer to Seat Adjuster Phase Adjustment .

  2. Object Number: 246348  Size: SH
  3. Install the seat adjuster actuator motors to seat adjuster.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the adjuster actuator motor nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the seat belt buckle pretensioner if removed.
  8. Install the seat adjuster with actuator motors attached.
  9. Install the 3 driveshafts back into the actuator motors and seat adjusters. Properly phase the seat adjuster before installing the driveshafts.
  10. Install the adjuster bolts.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  12. Seat the memory module electrical connectors.
  13. Install the front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  14. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  15. If the vehicle is equipped with memory seats, calibrate the seat. Refer to Memory Seat Calibration .
