Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 246262  Size: SH

    Important: Carefully remove the buttons from the seat adjuster control switch in order to prevent damage to the switch. Use a thin-bladed screwdriver to pry the buttons off.

  3. Remove the seat adjustment buttons (1,2).
  4. Remove the outer finish panel screw from the front seat cushion. The screw is located in the front of seat frame.
  5. Remove the control switch screws from the seat adjuster.
  6. Remove the outer finish panel from the front seat cushion.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the outer finish panel to the front seat cushion.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the control switch screws to the seat adjuster.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the control switch screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the outer finish panel screw to the front seat cushion.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the panel screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

    Important: Carefully install the buttons (1,2) to the control switch in order to prevent damage.

  7. Install the seat adjustment buttons (1,2) by snapping on.
  8. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
