Removal Procedure
- Remove the center pillar trim. Refer to
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the rear assist handle and coat hook. Refer to
Assist Handle and Rear Coat Hook Replacement
.
- Remove the roof rail courtesy reading lamp. Refer to
Roof Side Rail Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the bolt from the
rear seat shoulder height adjuster. Refer to
Rear Seat Shoulder Belt Guide Adjuster Replacement
in Seat Belts.
- Remove the screws covers.
- Remove the 2 screws from the rear quarter trim finish panel.
- Remove the rear quarter trim finish panel.
Pull back
on the rear quarter trim finish panel in order to release the clips on the
backside.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear quarter trim finish panel.
Push in
on the rear quarter trim finish panel in order to insert clips.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 2 screws to the rear quarter trim finish panel .
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the screw covers.
- Install the bolt to the
rear seat shoulder height adjuster. Refer to
Rear Seat Shoulder Belt Guide Adjuster Replacement
in Seat Belts.
- Install the roof rail courtesy reading lamp. Refer to
Roof Side Rail Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Install the rear assist handle and coat hook. Refer to
Assist Handle and Rear Coat Hook Replacement
.
- Install the center pillar trim. Refer to
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement
.
