Verify that the inoperative passenger door power window fault is present.

Do the passenger door power windows operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Are all of the passenger door power windows inoperative?

Go to Step 15

Is the front passenger power window the inoperative power window?

Go to Step 5

  1. Turn off the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the front passenger door switch.
  3. Turn on the ignition, with the engine off.
  4. Probe the power window switch express signal circuit of the front passenger door switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 7

  1. Turn off the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the appropriate rear window switch.
  3. Turn on the ignition, with the engine off.
  4. Probe the power window master switch lockout signal circuit of the appropriate rear window switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 8

  1. Turn off the ignition.
  2. Connect the front passenger door switch.
  3. Disconnect the front passenger window motor.
  4. Turn on the ignition, with the engine off.
  5. Probe the battery positive voltage circuit of the front passenger window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 9

  1. Turn off the ignition.
  2. Connect the appropriate rear window switch.
  3. Disconnect the appropriate rear window motor.
  4. Turn on the ignition, with the engine off.
  5. Probe the battery positive voltage circuit of the appropriate rear window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 10

  1. Probe the power window master switch right front up signal circuit of the front passenger window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  2. Activate the front passenger window to the UP position from the driver door switch.
  3. Activate the front passenger window to the UP position from the front passenger door switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate from both switches?

Go to Step 11

  1. Probe the power window master switch rear up signal circuit of the appropriate rear window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  2. Activate the appropriate rear window to the UP position from the driver door switch.
  3. Activate the appropriate rear window to the UP position from the appropriate rear window switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate from both switches?

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 18

  1. Probe the power window master switch right front down signal circuit of the front passenger window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  2. Activate the front passenger window to the DOWN position from the driver door switch.
  3. Activate the front passenger window to the DOWN position from the front passenger door switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate from both switches?

Go to Step 13

  1. Probe the power window master switch rear down signal circuit of the appropriate rear window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  2. Activate the appropriate rear window to the DOWN position from the driver door switch.
  3. Activate the appropriate rear window to the DOWN position from the appropriate rear window switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate from both switches?

Go to Step 14

Probe the ground circuit of the front passenger window motor with a test lamp that is connected to battery positive voltage.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Reprogram the appropriate passenger window regulator. Refer to Window Motor Programming - Express Function .
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
