Removal Procedure

    Caution: Approved safety glasses and gloves should be worn when performing this procedure to reduce the chance of personal injury.

    Caution: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

  1. Roll the window half way up and tape into place.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  5. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  7. Remove the door vent window and division channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement .
  8. Remove inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement

    9. Object Number: 243351 Size: SH
  9. Remove door window electrical connection.

    10. Object Number: 243358 Size: SH
  10. Remove door window regulator and motor by:
    11. 10.1. Drill out rivets that hold the door window regulator and motor place.
    10.2. Disconnect the guide from the door window regulator and motor from the sash.
  11. Remove door window regulator and motor from the door opening.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 243358 Size: SH
  1. Install door window regulator and motor through opening in the door.
  2. Set the guide in the center of the regulator assembly to assist in alignment of the sash on the glass.
  3. Connect the guide to the door window.
  4. Install four new rivets to retain the regulator and motor to the door.

    5. Object Number: 243351 Size: SH
  5. Connect door window regulator and motor electrical connector.
  6. Install inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  7. Install the door vent window division channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement .
  8. Install the door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  9. Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  10. Install the inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  11. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  12. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  13. Remove the tape from the window.
