  1. Disconnect the daytime running lamp relay K133.
  2. Disconnect the LH high beam headlamp relay K73.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the daytime running lamp relay K133 connector and a known good ground.
  4. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 5 of the daytime running lamp relay K133 connector and a known good ground.
  5. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the LH high beam headlamp relay K73 and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage for all three measurements within the specified value?

B+

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits A10, A825 and/or A832.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits A10, A825 and/or A832.

Is the repair complete?

4

  1. When the high beam switch is pressed, B+ is input into terminal A4 of the BCM connector C1. The BCM then pulls terminals C5 and C8 of connector C2 low.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 1 of the day time running lamp relay K133 connector and a known good ground.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 1 of the LH high beam headlamp relay K73 connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage for both measurements equal to the specified value?

0 V

Go to Step 5

5

  1. Locate a short to B+ in circuits XY802, M60, M62, M69 and/or M70.
  2. Repair the short to B+ in circuits XY802, M60, M62, M69 and/or M70.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

6

  1. Reconnect K133 and K73 relays.
  2. Disconnect the LH high beam headlamp.
  3. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal E of the LH high beam headlamp connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

7

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits M8 and/or M2.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits M8 and/or M2.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the daytime running lamps relay K133.

8

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal B of the LH high beam headlamp connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 9

9

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits FM13, FM19 and/or F803.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits FM13, FM19 and/or F803.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the LH high beam headlamp relay K73.
