  1. Disconnect the right high beam headlamp relay  K132 connector.
  2. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal  4 of the right high beam headlamp relay K132 connector and a known good ground.
  3. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 2 of the right high beam headlamp relay K132 connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage for both measurements within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

3

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT A827 and/or A850.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT A827 and/or A850.

4

  1. When the high beam switch is pressed, B+ is input into terminal A4 of the BCM connector C1. The BCM then pulls terminal C8 of connector C2 low.
  2. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 6 of the right high beam headlamp relay K132 connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage equal to the specified value?

0 V

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

5

  1. Locate an open in CKT M62.
  2. Repair the open in CKT M62.
  3. If CKT M62 is OK, replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

  1. Reconnect K132 relay.
  2. Disconnect the right high beam headlamp
  3. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal E of the right high beam headlamp connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

7

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT M64 and/or M1.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT M64 and/or M1.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the right high beam headlamp relay K132.
