Was the Audible Warning System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the gauge cluster connector.
  2. Buckle the seat belt.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 14 of the gauge cluster connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the gauge cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Gage Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 9

  1. Disconnect connector C315B from connector C315.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 14 of the gauge cluster connector and terminal 8 of connector C315.

Is the resistance reading within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits XF20 and/or XF21.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits XF20 and/or XF21.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 7 of connector C315 and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F650.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F650.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Replace the LH seat belt switch. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement - LH in Seat Belts.

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Step 9

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the fasten seat belt warning operates properly.

Does the fasten seat belt warning operate properly?
