Removal Procedure
  1. Use a helper in order to remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 284195 Size: SH
  2. Remove 2 nuts (3) that retain the hinge (2) to the vehicle.
  3. Remove the hinge (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 284195 Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge (2) to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the nuts (3) in order to retain the hinge (2) to the vehicle.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts (3) to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
  4. Adjust the rear compartment lid (1) as necessary. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment .
