Front-to-Rear, Side-to-Side and Up/Down Adjustments

  1. Loosen the nuts.
  2. Align the nuts as necessary.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Tighten the nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

Up/Down Adjustment at Rear Corners

  1. Loosen the rubber bumpers in order to raise the compartment lid.
  2. Tighten the rubber bumpers in order to lower the compartment lid.
  3. You may loosen and adjust the rear compartment lid latch striker in order to help complete the adjustment.
