Removal Procedure
- Mark
the location of the upper hinges (3) and the lower hinges (2) on the door.
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to one of the following procedures:
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to
Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Disconnect all of the electrical connectors from the door electrical
components.
- Remove the rubber conduit from the door.
- Disconnect the wire harness from the door.
- While the door is being supported, remove the hinge-to-door bolts.
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the door.
Installation Procedure
- With
the aid of an assistant, install the door to the hinges (2, 3).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the hinge-to-door
bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the hinge bolts to 48 N·m (36 lb ft).
- Connect the wire harness to the door.
- Install the rubber conduit to the door.
- Connect all of the electrical connectors to the door electrical
components.

- Install the trim panel. Refer to one of the following procedures:
