For 1990-2009 cars only
Removal Procedure
- Remove the battery box. Refer to Battery Box Replacement.
- Remove the range selector cable bracket. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Bracket Replacement.
- Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture for the 3.5L LZ4 engine or Engine Support Fixture for the 3.6L LZ7 engine.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Remove the front transmission mount thru bolt.
- Remove the rear transmission mount thru bolt (1).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the transmission mount to transmission bolts.
- Remove the transmission mount to frame rail bolts (2).
- Using the engine support, lower the transmission enough to provide clearance for the left transmission mount.
- Remove the left transmission mount (1).
Installation Procedure
- Install the left transmission mount (1).
- Install the transmission mount to frame rail bolts (2) and tighten to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).
- Using the engine support, raise the transmission until the transmission contacts the left transmission mount.
- Install the transmission mount to transmission bolts and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Raise the vehicle.
- Install the rear transmission mount thru bolt (1) and tighten to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).
- Install the front transmission mount thru bolt and tighten to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the engine support fixture.
- Install the range selector cable bracket. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Bracket Replacement.
- Install the battery box. Refer to Battery Box Replacement.
