Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1883797 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the range select cable (2) from the range select lever.
  3. Release the range select cable retaining clip (1) and remove the cable from the range select cable bracket.

    4. Object Number: 1883799 Size: SH
  4. Remove the nut (2) securing the range select lever cable bracket.
  5. Remove the bolt (1) securing the range select lever cable bracket.
  6. Remove the range select lever cable bracket (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1883799 Size: SH
  1. Install the range select lever cable bracket (3).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolt (1) securing the range select lever cable bracket. Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  3. Install the nut (2) securing the range select lever cable bracket. Tighten the nut to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

    4. Object Number: 1883797 Size: SH
  4. Install the range select cable to the range select cable bracket. Ensure the range select cable retaining clip (1) is secured in the bracket.
  5. Connect the range select cable (2) to the range select lever.
  6. Adjust the cable. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment.
  7. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
