Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 2014574  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the hood.
  2. Install protective covers over the front fenders to prevent paint damage.
  3. Disengage the two clips (2), and remove the hood protector clip (1).

  4. Object Number: 2014575  Size: SH
  5. Remove the seven retainers and the radiator support seal.
  6. Remove the hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement.
  7. Remove the washer nozzles. Refer to Washer Nozzle Replacement.
  8. Remove the washer hose assembly. Refer to Hose Replacement.

  9. Object Number: 239363  Size: SH
  10. Mark the position of the hood hinges on the hood to ease assembly.
  11. Remove the 2 mounting bolts which secure the hood (1) to each of the hood hinges (3).
  12. Remove the hood with the aid of a helper.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 239363  Size: SH

    Important: Before installing the hood, be sure to apply anti-corrosion treatment to the hood and hood hinge mating surfaces. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair .

  1. Install the hood (1) with the aid of a helper to the hood hinges (3), aligning the mating marks. Secure the hood with 2 mounting bolts at each hinge. Do not tighten fully.

  2. Object Number: 2014575  Size: SH
  3. Install the washer hose assembly. Refer to Hose Replacement.
  4. Install the washer nozzles. Refer to Washer Nozzle Replacement.
  5. Install the hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement.
  6. Install the seven retainers and the radiator support seal.

  7. Object Number: 2014574  Size: SH
  8. Engage the two clips (2), and install the hood protector clip (1).

  9. Object Number: 239363  Size: SH
  10. Remove the protective covers from the front fenders (2).
  11. Adjust the hood, if necessary. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
