Fore-aft adjustment may be made by moving the hood within the elongated hinge holes.
Vertical adjustment at the front may be made by adjusting the hood bumpers up or down.
Fore-Aft Adjustment
- Raise the hood.
- Support the hood.
- Loosen the hood (1) mounting bolts.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Adjust the hood to the front fender clearance gap to between 2.5-5.5 mm (0.10-0.22 in) on each side of the hood. Tighten the hood mounting bolts and tighten to
13 N·m (10 lb ft).
- Remove the hood support.
- Lower the hood.
Primary Latch Adjustment
- Raise the hood.
- Support the hood.
- Loosen the hood primary latch mounting bolts (2).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Adjust the hood primary latch (1) so that the striker can engage with the primary latch (1) smoothly. Tighten the hood primary latch mounting bolts (2) and tighten to
7.5 N·m (66 lb in).
- Remove the hood support.
- Lower the hood.
Vertical Adjustment
- Raise the hood.
- Rotate the hood bumpers (1).
- Adjust the height of the hood bumpers (1) until hood front clearances are flush at a measurement of within -1.5 to +1.5 mm
(-0.06 to +0.06).
- Lower the hood.
