Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 2014844 Size: SH

    Note: The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear door outside handle frame.

  2. Loosen the screw using a T 30 TORX socket.

    3. Object Number: 2014845 Size: SH
  3. Disengage the three clips and remove the rear door outside handle cover.

    4. Object Number: 2014846 Size: SH
  4. Pull and hold the release plate of the outside handle frame.

    5. Note: The release plate may interfere with the rear door outside handle assembly and may be damaged when removing the rear door outside handle assembly, unless the release plate of the rear door outside handle assembly is pulled and held.

  5. Remove the rear door outside handle assembly as shown.

    6. Object Number: 2014853 Size: SH
  6. Remove the screw (1) using a T 30 TORX socket.

    7. Object Number: 2014699 Size: SH
  7. Disengage the two clips and remove the rear door front outside handle pad.

    8. Object Number: 2014700 Size: SH
  8. Disengage the two clips and remove the rear door rear outside handle pad.

    9. Object Number: 2014854 Size: SH
  9. Disengage the two clips (1).
  10. Disengage the clip (2) and remove the rear door outside handle frame.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2014874 Size: SH

    Note: Apply multi-purpose grease to the sliding parts of the rear door outside handle frame assembly.

  1. Engage the clip (2) and install the rear door outside handle frame.
  2. Engage the two clips (1).

    3. Object Number: 2014700 Size: SH
  3. Engage the two clips and install the rear door rear outside handle pad.

    4. Object Number: 2014699 Size: SH
  4. Engage the two clips and install the rear door front outside handle pad.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2014853 Size: SH
  5. Install the screw (1) using a T 30 TORX socket and tighten to 4.0 N·m (35 lb in).

    6. Object Number: 2014879 Size: SH

    Note: If the bellcrank lever is not pulled and held when installing the outside handle, the bellcrank lever will interfere with the outside handle and the release plate will be damaged.

  6. Insert the front end of the rear door outside handle assembly into the rear door outside handle frame.
  7. Insert the rear end of the rear door outside handle assembly into the rear door outside handle frame.
  8. Slide the rear door outside handle assembly toward the front of the vehicle to install it.

  9. Engage the three clips and install the rear door outside handle cover.

    10. Object Number: 2014844 Size: SH
  10. Install the screw using a T 30 TORX socket and tighten to 4.0 N·m (35 lb in).
  11. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
