Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the second muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement .
- Support the rear axle with an adjustable jack stand.
- Remove the rear shock absorber. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement .
- Lower the jack stand in order to lower the rear axle.
- Remove the coil spring (1).
Important: Lower the rear axle only as far as possible without placing tension on the brake hoses or the ABS sensor wiring.
Installation Procedure
- Install the coil spring (1).
- Raise the rear axle with the jack stand.
- Install the rear shock absorber. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement .
- Install the second muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement .
- Remove the jack stands.
- Lower the vehicle.
