Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    2. Object Number: 1618661 Size: SH
  2. Support the rear axle (1) with adjustable jack stands.

    3. Object Number: 1618662 Size: SH
  3. Remove the nuts (1, 3).
  4. Remove the shock absorber (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1618663 Size: SH
  1. Install the shock absorber (2).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the nut (3) which secures the shock absorber to the rear axle.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 58 N·m (42 lb ft).

  3. Install the nut (1) which secures the shock absorber to the body bracket.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 58 N·m (42 lb ft).

  4. Remove the jack stands.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
