Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear door window
outer belt sealing strip. Refer to
Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement
.
- Remove the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to
Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement
.
- Remove the screws from the rear door stationary window molding.
- Slide the molding rearward at the bend in order to release the
molding.
- Pull the molding away from the stationary window module.
Some back and forth movement may be needed in order to release the rear
door stationary window molding mounting pins from the door stationary window
module.
- Remove the stationary window molding from the rear door.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear door
stationary window to the rear door.
- Align the stationary window molding mounting pins with the retainers
on the stationary window module.
- Push the stationary window molding towards the window in order
to secure the retainers.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws
to the stationary window molding.
Tighten
Tighten the rear door stationary window molding screws to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Install the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to

- Install the rear door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to
Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement
.
