Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  2. Important: The rear seat cushion cover is Windsor bonded (glued) to the cushion pad. It is recommended when servicing to replace both the cushion cover and the cushion pad. Do not attempt to separate the cushion cover from the pad.

  3. Discard the seat cushion assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Do not exceed 6 mm (1/4 in) diameter of hot glue to the seat cushion pad.

  1. Use a 138°C (360°F) hot glue gun. Apply a 6 mm (1/4 in) bead of GM P/N 12377914, or Special Bostik Glue into the side channels the cushion pad (2).
  2. Place the cushion cover (1) over the pad (2), so that the cover side seams are positioned into the glue channel within 30 seconds of the glue application.
  3. Use a straight edge of the same length as the glued seams. Apply downward pressure (1-4 psi). Hold the cushion cover for 1 minute.
  4. Lift the back of the cushion cover (1). Apply a 6 mm (1/4 in) bead of glue into the back channel.
  5. Apply downward pressure (1-4 psi). Hold the cushion cover for 1 minute until a firm bond is made.
  6. Pull the remainder of the cushion cover (1) over the pad (2), and under the edge.
  7. With a suitable tool install the hog ring retainers (3) to the cushion cover (1).
  8. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
