Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 330829  Size: SH
  1. Remove the trim cover from the front seat riser. Refer to Power Seat Riser Trim Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the screw from the finish trim cover on the inner adjuster. Remove the cover from the seat adjuster mechanism (13).
  3. Remove the wire harness from the seat adjuster motors (5).
  4. Remove the drive shafts (7) from the seat adjuster motors.
  5. Remove the bolts (12) from the seat adjuster and remove the adjuster from the seat frame.
  6. Remove the nut from the power seat motor bracket. Remove the bracket from the seat adjuster mechanism (13).
  7. If necessary, remove the trim covers from the inner and the outer adjuster.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bracket to the seat adjuster mechanism (13).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nut to the power seat motor bracket.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. Install the trim covers to the inner and the outer adjuster.
  6. Install the seat adjuster (13) to the seat frame with bolts (12).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the drive shafts (7) to the seat adjuster motors (5).
  9. Install the wire harness to the seat adjuster motors.
  10. Install the finish trim cover to the seat adjuster (13) with a screw.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

  12. Install the trim cover to the front seat riser. Refer to Power Seat Riser Trim Cover Replacement .
  13. Adjust the front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Adjuster Phase Adjustment and to Seat Adjuster Horizontal Actuator Adjustment .
