DEFINITION: This test checks the inflator switch and the surrounding circuits.

  1. Disconnect the inflator timer-relay connector.
  2. Hold the inflator switch in the ON position.
  3. Measure the resistance from the inflator switch connector (while connected) terminal A to B.

Is the measurement approximately 0 ohms?

Check the inflator switch connector for proper terminal contact at terminals A and B.

Is the connection OK?

Replace the inflator switch.

Is the replacement complete?

Correct the poor connection condition.

Is the connection at the inflator switch good?

Measure the resistance from inflator switch connector terminal C to B. Is the measurement approximately 0 ohms?

Check CKT 837 (WHT), CKT 1267 (PPL) and CKT 1250 (BLK) wiring for an open.

Is an open circuit condition present?
