Removal Procedure

Important: This vehicle contains 2 antenna cables. These procedures are applicable to both of the antenna cables.

  1. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  2. Remove the right instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  3. Remove the right cowl side trim panel. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel in Body Front End.
  4. Remove the headliner front. Refer to Headliner in Roof.

  5. Object Number: 315777  Size: SH
  6. Remove the antenna cable extension to roof bolt.

  7. Object Number: 315781  Size: SH
  8. Remove the antenna cable from the instrument panel carrier.

  9. Object Number: 315778  Size: SH
  10. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  11. • The antenna cable
    • The antenna cable extension

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the following components to the vehicle:
  2. • The antenna cable
    • The antenna cable extension

  3. Install the antenna cable to the instrument panel carrier.

  4. Object Number: 315777  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the antenna cable extension to roof bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 3.2 N·m (28 lb in).

  7. Install the headliner front. Refer to Headliner in Roof.
  8. Install the right cowl side trim panel. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel in Body Front End.
  9. Install the right instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  10. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
