Radio Replacement w/ Remote CD Player
Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Remove the bolts/screws
from the audio system.
- Pull straight out from the instrument panel in order to remove
the audio system.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the antenna lead.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the electrical
connectors.
- Install the antenna lead.
- Push in on the audio system in order to install the audio system.
Ensure that the alignment pin is located in the proper position.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts/screws
to the audio system.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts/screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
- Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
