Inspect the suspect fog lamp bulbs and connectors for damage.

Are the fog lamp bulbs and connectors OK?

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the HEAD position on the headlamp/instrument panel (IP) dimmer switch.
  2. Turn the headlamp dimmer switch to the LOW position.
  3. Turn the fog lamp switch to the ON position.
  4. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between terminal A of the inoperable fog lamp harness connector and ground.

Did the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

  1. For the left fog lamp, repair the following conditions in CKT 34 between the underhood accessory junction block connector C3 terminal A5 and the fog lamp harness connector terminal A:
  2. • A faulty connection
    • An open circuit
  3. For the right fog lamp, repair the following conditions in CKT 34 between the underhood accessory junction block connector C3 terminal B5 and the fog lamp harness connector terminal  A:
  4. • A faulty connection
    • An open circuit

Is the repair complete?

Use a test light in order to backprobe between the inoperable fog lamp harness connector terminal A and terminal B.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Repair the following conditions in CKT 1350 or CKT 1250 between the fog lamp harness connector terminal B and G101 or G102:

    • A faulty connection
    • An open circuit

Is the repair complete?

Replace the fog lamp. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement .

Replace the damaged component.
