Front Fog Lamp Replacement Pontiac

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 313849  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the fog lamp.
  2. Remove the nuts (2) that retain the fog lamp (1) to the front bumper fascia.
  3. Remove the fog lamp (1) from the front bumper fascia.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fog lamp (1) to the front bumper fascia.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nuts (2) that retain the fog lamp (1) to the front bumper fascia.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts/screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  1. Remove the bolts/screws that retain the fog lamp to the bracket.
  2. Remove the fog lamp from the slot in the bracket.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector.

  2. Object Number: 313851  Size: SH
  3. Install the fog lamp to the slot in the bracket.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.
