Removal Procedure
- Open the rear compartment.
- Pull back the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to
Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the rear compartment
lid lock striker bolt from inside the rear compartment.
- Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to
Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker bolts from outside
the vehicle.
- Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear compartment lid lock striker to the rear compartment
body panel.
- Install the rear compartment
lid lock striker bolts to the outside of the vehicle.
- finger tighten the outside bolts allowing for the adjustment of
rear compartment lid lock striker.
- Close the rear compartment lid to set adjustment.
- Tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker bolts to 16 N·m
(11 lb in).
- Open the rear compartment lid.
Important: Due to sealer squeeze out on rear compartment lid lock striker bolts/screws,
recheck fastener tightening specifications at least two times.
- Tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker lock striker bolt
inside the rear compartment.
Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment lid lock striker bolt to 16 N·m
(11 lb in).
- Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to
Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to
Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Close the rear compartment.
