Removal Procedure
- Open the front floor console storage compartment lid.
- Remove the mat from the floor of the console storage compartment.
- Remove the front floor console trim plate. Refer to
Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement
.
- Remove the bolts retaining the floor shift control trim plate.
- Reposition the floor shift control trim plate.
- Remove the bolts retaining the console at the front, behind the
shift control at the floor and in the storage compartment floor.
- Carefully slide the front floor console rearward, then remove
the console.
Installation Procedure
- Carefully install the front floor console into position.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
floor console retaining bolts at the front of the console, behind the shift
control at the floor and in the storage compartment floor.
Tighten
Tighten the front floor console retaining bolts to 6 N·m
(53 lb in).
- Install the shift control trim plate into position.
- Install the floor shift control trim plate retaining bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the floor shift control trim plate retaining bolts to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Install the front floor console trim plate. Refer to

.
- Install the mat to the floor of the console storage compartment.
- Close the front floor console storage compartment lid.
