Important: The new park lock cable is pre-adjusted. After installation, a new or
old park lock cable will need to be adjusted if either of the following conditions
occur.
• The key in the ignition switch can move to the LOCK position when
the shift control is not in Park. • The shift control can be moved out of Park when the ignition switch
is in the LOCK position.
Important: The cable should move freely within the adjuster body.
• | The ignition rotates to LOCK only when the shift control is in Park. |
Important: The brake pedal must be pressed in order to move the shift control out of park when the ignition is in RUN. |
• | The shift control moves out of Park only when the ignition is in ACC or RUN. |
