Makes 🢒 Oldsmobile 🢒 1998 🢒 Intrigue 🢒 HVAC 🢒 HVAC Systems - Automatic 🢒 Mode Valve Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel driver knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  3. Position aside the aspirator duct from the inside air temperature sensor. Refer to Inside Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 295281 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the vacuum lines from the mode valve vacuum actuator.
  5. Cut the tie strap (1) on the back side of the mode valve vacuum actuator.

    6. Object Number: 295288 Size: SH
  6. Carefully rotate the mode vacuum actuator towards the front of the vehicle until the mode vacuum actuator is released from the mounting pins on the HVAC module.

    7. Object Number: 295292 Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the mode vacuum actuator pushrod from the mode valve lever and remove the mode vacuum actuator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 295292 Size: SH
  1. Connect the mode vacuum actuator pushrod from the mode valve lever and position the mode vacuum actuator.

    2. Object Number: 295288 Size: SH
  2. Carefully rotate the mode vacuum actuator towards the rear of the vehicle until the actuator is engaged on the mounting pins on the HVAC module.

    3. Object Number: 295281 Size: SH
  3. Install the tie strap (1) on the back side of the mode valve vacuum actuator.
  4. Install the aspirator duct to the inside air temperature sensor. Refer to Inside Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .
  5. Install the instrument panel driver knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  6. Install the left side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
