  1. Turn the ignition switch off.
  2. Disconnect the tire reset switch located in the fuse block. Refer to Fuse Block Schematics for location.
  3. Turn the ignition switch on.
  4. While observing the LOW TIRE PRESSURE indicator lamp in the instrument cluster, connect a 5A fused jumper for 5-10 seconds between the tire reset switch fuse block terminals K1 and K2. Refer to Fuse Block Schematics for fuse block terminal location.

Does the LOW TIRE PRESSURE indicator lamp turn off?

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.
  2. Disconnect fused jumper from fuse block.
  3. Using a test light, connect between B+ and the fuse block terminal K2. Refer to Fuse Block Schematics for fuse block terminal location.

Is the test light on?

  1. Disconnect the Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) harness connector C1.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the EBTCM harness connector C1 terminal B10 and the fuse block terminal K1.

Is the measured resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2ohms

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the tire pressure reset switch.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 1550.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Check the EBTCM harness connector C1 terminal B10 and the fuse block terminals K1 and K2 for a poor connection.

If no poor connection is found, then replace the EBTCM. Refer to Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module Replacement in Antilock Brake System for service procedure.
