Removal Procedure
- Remove the sunroof (3). Refer to Sunroof Replacement .
- Pull away from the channel at the rim of the glass in order to remove the weather-strip (1).
Installation Procedure
- Clean the old adhesive from the channel at the rim of the glass.
- Apply a 152 mm (6 in) strip of adhesive to the side of the glass panel.
- Start with the end of the weather-strip (1) covering 77 mm (3 in) of the previously applied adhesive.
- Cut the end of the weather-strip (1) free at the side in order to allow a 3-5 mm (1/8-3/16 in) overlap.
- Place a small amount of the adhesive on the free end of the weather-strip (1).
- Butt the ends of the weather-strip (1) together, pushing the free end into the channel.
- Force the remainder of the weather-strip (1) into the channel.
- Allow the adhesive to dry.
- Install the glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
- Adjust the sunroof glass panel in order to achieve a good sealing action Refer to Sunroof Panel Vertical Adjustment .
Working around the glass panel, push the weather-strip (1) into the channel (2).
