J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor

1. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



2. Remove the wave washer (2) from the steering column.



3. Remove and dispose of the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR .



4. Remove the shaft lock (1).
5. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2).
6. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
7. Remove the upper bearing inner race seat (4)
8. Remove the inner race (5).
