Did you perform the Interior Lights System Check?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

1. Turn the combination switch to the PARK position.
2. Using a test lamp, backprobe the illumination controller from cavity 2 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 5

Inspect for a short to ground in the RED/GRN wire between the illumination controller and the illumination lamps.

Is the connection OK?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 6

Replace the illumination controller. Refer to Instrument Panel Lamp Dimmer Switch Replacement in Instrument Panel,Gauges and Console.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

--

Repair the open in the RED/YEL wire between S218 and the illumination controller. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

Repair the short to ground in the RED/GRN wire between the illumination controller and the illumination lamps. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
