Removal Procedure
- Remove the wiper motor cover assembly. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .
- Remove the screw and park the switch from the wiper motor.
Important: If the wiper motor is in the park position, operate the wiper motor as required to remove pawl from the relay slot.
Installation Procedure
- Install the park switch assembly onto the wiper motor assembly with the screw.
- Operate the wiper motor assembly back into the park position (pawl is in the relay slot).
- Install the wiper motor cover assembly into the wiper motor. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
