Is the inoperative mirror the left outside rearview mirror?

1. Disconnect the left outside rearview mirror.
2. Use a test light to probe between the left outside rearview mirror connector terminal A and ground.
3. Set the outside mirror select switch to left mirror.
4. Set and hold the outside remote control rearview mirror switch to UP.

Does the test light illuminate?

Use a J 39200 in order to test circuit 88 for a poor connection or an open.

Did you find a poor connection or an open in circuit 88?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 88.

Is the repair complete and the system retested?

System OK

Replace the left outside remote control rearview mirror switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement and Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

1. Disconnect the right outside rearview mirror.
2. Use a test light to probe between the right outside rearview mirror connector terminal A and ground.
3. Set the outside mirror select switch to right mirror.
4. Set and hold the outside remote control rearview mirror switch to UP.

Does the test light illuminate?

Replace the mirror motor pack within the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement .

Is the repair complete and the system retested?
