Removal Procedure

    Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  1. Place tape over the mirror face.

  2. Object Number: 468274  Size: SH
  3. Remove the electric mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  4. Remove the glass from the mirror housing. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement .
  5. Remove the electric mirror motor retaining screws.
  6. Remove the electric mirror motor from the housing.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 468274  Size: SH
  1. Install the electric mirror motor to the housing.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the electric mirror motor retaining screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the electric mirror motor screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the glass to the mirror housing. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement .
  6. Install the electric mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
